Keeping Moehrig and/or Hobbs more important than keeping Spillane
So is Geno Smith a stop gap for another stop gap and then another stop gap QB comes in after that? Its been nothing but stop gap QB's since Carr left.

Seeing as they signed Darnold for 33ish and he's 35, he asking way too much. We'd be fools to give him anything above 35 for an extra year or two

We got stop gaps for our stop gaps
He's been about the 12th-13th best QB over the last 3 seasons. I think that's fair value for what he is. Solid above average QB.
Sam Darnold has had 1 good season under a perfect system for him. There's way more question marks for him. Only thing he has over Geno is age really.

With Baker, Carr and now Sam around 35 I think that's the going rate. If he doesn't ball out this year he cost himself some serious guap turning down 3/100. Nobody gonna Kirk Cousins themselves

I can understand the lack of excitement of picking up Geno but he’s a proven QB that can win you games and is much bigger upgrade then the trash we had at QB last year..
We got Jeremy Chinn to replace Moehrig and for a cheaper price
Both gone. It seems Pete and our new GM didn’t like our DBs.
