Only problem I see is Geno is turning 35 next season. So you’ll still likely be looking for a QB in a year or two anyway. Giving up a 3rd and signing him to a big-ish contract is going to limit the team’s upside for a few years. Plus it’s not like the Raiders are loaded with talent across the board and just need a QB to compete. It’d be different if the Raiders were in a weak division. The team probably should just bottom out for another year or two while stockpiling assets, not give up a 3rd for what’ll end up being a stopgap QB.
I think I was right on this. Raiders had too many holes on the team to be giving up a draft asset in a win now move.

All season this has been the worst o-line I've ever seen...but Geno is somehow even worse with pocket presence and taking sacks, and now he can't hit a deep ball to save his life. FBI should dig into his betting habits, for real.
