I miss the days on back Friday you'd get price errors on lenses or great deals

I swear cameras and lenses even second hand have never been this crazy price wise
If you rock with Canon their refurbished sales on Black Friday are top notch. I’ve been wanting a new camera body bad but I think I’m going to try and get a 50 f1.2.

Is it that much better than the first version? I still need to get a 24-70 f2.8 but I’m going to wait until I book another event gig.
dollar for dollar? probably not. because my focus is hybrid shooting at events, 24-70 is all I need and I always get the best of the best. I also don't have a business reason to blow the bag on super fast primes

When you get into photography you go from thinking of copping that 200 dollar lens damn its to much to then dropping thousands on a lens

I paid like 1,400 for a1.4 prime but I did affirm :heh:
at lease nowadays china got them budget lenses that perform well. You can get away with it easy. For video gigs though, I want the best of the camera manufacture has to offer because you lose some functionality

Glass really does make all the difference in the world. Once I upgraded to good glass and figured out lighting my output started to match the vision in my head.

Love my 24-70 2.8's. I've had several over the years and they've all been superb and worth their weight in gold. What that being said, I'd gladly ditch my current RF in favor of a <24-55mm with a fixed 2.8 aperture or lower that matched its image quality (and hopefully came in a more compact package).
