Women's draw been the more interesting tournament for the last week or so, even though there's been a lot of a straight set matches there too. Men's draw died when Nadal got hurt and Rune lost (prospect for the future).

I think Sabalenka wins, but regardless it's good to see both players thrive. We need to see a rival for Swiatek and from what I've seen in the last year she struggles against power hitters like Rybakina and Sabalenka.

Yea Sabalenka got her at the year end championship & Rybakina here too

She's forced to be a pusher against line to line power and her serve become real vulnerable too

I think bigger hitter on the WTA will realize that more & more this year

Gosh i miss Theim bruhs. He had the heart to trust his game against Nole and Rafa consistently win or lose. He also realized you just have to go for broke against them.

You aren’t going to beat them from the baseline unless they are off for the most part. You gotta blow em off the court

He got called for a bunch of time/serve violations, plus had that meltdown at the end of the third set. In the past, I think he woulda been pouting and taken a 15 minute bathroom break between sets to text his dad. He didn't really react to any of it and just kept playing against Khachanov.

Yes bruh, I hate that Stanimal, Murray, and Theim wore themselves out to achieve what they achieved. I have no doubt Murray could have won a Wimbledon had he not broken down trying to get to number 1 in the world.

Another player i'm interested in seeing how he performs this year is Medvedev. He hasn't really done anything since he choked the AO away last year.

I wonder if it's a case where folks have figured him out. We'll see

Not true, it matters that he is showing progress. With that said, the jitters are more likely to emerge in a final against novak than a semi against khachanov

I don't think he has the ability to brick wall thru matches and tournaments like he was 2 years ago...Maybe age, wear & tear, or getting the slam has diminished the hunger...who knows.

Even Djokovic who for the most part just depended on being solid is playing way more offensive now a days and to me that's going to be the key for Med going forward.

Edit - I gotta aplogize to Tsonga...I diminished his career early but he would win some slams right now
