hell she may never even get to a final again

Definitely not winning on any hard courts as long as Osaka's playing

Even with a day off in between at slams, it’s probably too much to ask for her to win 7 straight matches in order to win a slam. I know her illness drained her stamina but it’s also sad to see Venus not be able to have one last big run at a Grand Slam and go out on that note

lol yep im 35 and remembered them retiring and thinking Pete’s slam record of 13 was safe for a looong time. shyt aint even last 10 years and got lapped in less than 20 years by 2 other players (with Nadal about to surpass Pete’s total slam count just at the French Open only) lol.

Knowing what they know now, I bet they wish they would have kept going
