I missed the match.:francis:

What does this loss mean for Rafa? Is this the start of a decline?:ohhh:

He lost to a fellow GOAT, nothing wrong with that. I think tho, he needs to stop playing 4 clay events leading up to RG. Monte Carlo then Barcelona then Madrid then Rome and THEN the French Open is ridiculous for him to do that at this point at his age. He doesn’t need to play Barcelona or Madrid anymore. Just play Monte Carlo and Rome. He needs to cut his schedule down.

not sure bruh :lupe:. Rafa say he’s unsure about playing Wimbledon because the intensity and length of this match kinda messing with his wrist. I can see what he mean because them two were HITTING today.

"It has not been anything that conditioned the game, it simply derives from the scaphoid injury that I had in 2005 and that in matches of this duration and intensity it can take its toll. I had a bandage that was compressing me too much and it was already unbearable. No, I was going to play the Mallorca tournament on grass, although I would have loved it, but in this case it is impossible since it is the week before Wimbledon and I do not have time to prepare for it. I do not know what tournaments I will have on my schedule, it has been a very intense and I will have to decide if I play or not in London. Right now I don't have the mental clarity to think about it, I need tranquility."
I guess that wouldn't be shocking. He was trash at Wimbledon for years until 2018 and 2019. Maybe he doesn't believe he could beat Tsitsipas and Medvedev there as well as Joker and Fed. If it's fast, he really has no shot against them.

He's from Spain, so I think he wants to represent.

I got Fed ahead of both regardless. :yeshrug:

Of the two, I'd much rather see Djokovic surpass 20 than Nadal. He's done it everywhere while Nadal is Agassi off clay.

All 3 are great but yeah Fed and Novak been doing it on all surfaces. Novak is just to hard for either to best when he's on.

Fed is the people's champ and has created more fans into the sport but Rafa and Fed both say Novak is tough to beat

All 3 of em have a case for being called the GOAT. I won’t argue anyone’s choice as there is too many ways you can lean for whoever you pick. Plus it’s prolly better to wait till they all finally hang it up

Nadal doesn’t imo, his credentials are overly weighted towards clay, be it slams, masters or otherwise

Fed did but H2H issues against the other two (plus he’ll eventually lose the slam count to both) counts against him

Nole has the best case, he’s a hair behind Fed now (arguably already ahead but passes him definitively should he win tomorrow

Coco should feel really good about where she's at now. She definitely gave that match away and that woman wound up winning the whole thing. Coco is close, brehs.

yep. She improving her rankings/seeding so that’s a plus. Think about it, she should be competing on the juniors circuit
