But Rafa can still get anyone on a given day. He got the stars aligned to be here.

Well yeah Nadal is a legendary player. But still doesn't deny the fact that his bracket was the easier road

Medvedev had to go through Felix and Tsitsipas. Nadal had to go through Shapovalov and the winner of Matteo and Monfils lol

You and I both know this means phuck all in the grand scheme of things. Majority of people/teams who make a final in any sport they will of faced some sort of adversity along the way.

Also Nadal has previously beaten him in a major final. So there is a bit of psychological advantage can argue that was the same with the US final vs Joker that Med won. But Nadal is in far better fresher shape than Joker was going into that final. Also Nadal is far better at gamesmanship and Med more likely to blow up.

One thing with Rafa and this match is he's playing with house money. This is his worst slam results wise and nobody expected him to make the final here. He's playing himself into clay shape which is more important :shaq:

That OHBH gonna get worked on clay but Tsitsipas got the game to beat Rafa on clay..espacially this version of Rafa

Who says the FO gonna let Novak in :shaq:

Who knows, French might be more lenient than Australia :leon::lolbron:

But who else can challenge Nadal on Clay?

Maybe Alcaraz

That’s a damn good question. Not even the FO, Wimbledon gonna be super :noah: this year. I still dont trust anyone of these young cats on grass if Rafa, Fed (if healthy even at 40 :flabbynsick: ), and Novak around.

I think I got Fed for Wimbledon

I also got him for the US Open. Got a feeling he's taking time off to finish the year strong

Ironically, as much of a legend as he is on Grass, I think Federer is one the greatest hard court players I've ever seen

yea no non-Big 3 player has really designated themselves a grass court player like Med had hard court & Sissy on clay

I also think that's in part to the tour not having enough grass tournaments in comparison to the other surfaces

shoot Fed is one of the greatest clay courters of all time too, so is Novak. No shame in being in the Nadal clay era. I would have loved to see Wilander, Guga, and Borg vs the current big 3 on clay in a 6 man tourney.

agreed. I think Med can win on grass if he became a bit more aggressive. I think Wimbledon gonna be the slam that will have the most first time champion over the next 10 years; i dont see anyone having a stranglehold on grass.
