You can say what you want about the vaxx and all that, but I have mad respect for Nole for sticking to his principles.

A lot of people would have folded instantly. Wimbledon he’ll probably be able to play in. FO may be on some hoe shyt and I’d like to think NYC would have rolled back all restrictions by the time USO comes around. I think by next year most if not all COVID restrictions would have dropped.

Naomi earned a wildcard spot for Indian Wells. Said she'll be playing in several Masters 1000 (IW, Miami, Madrid, Rome) before the French Open.

That he’s standing on his principles. Australian gov’t was being some straight up hoes not allowing him to play.

Man recovered from Covid and was no more a risk that anyone else (that is the science). Whole thing is political theather.

The real guilty party is Tennis Australia for trying to grant Novak that bullshyt waiver. The law is clear, no unvaccinated foreigners allowed into the country. If Tennis Australia never grant him the waiver then we avoid all of the soap opera drama.

So if someone was a KKK member and didn’t want black people in their stores, do we have to respect them for standing on their principles? There’s nothing to respect about standing on a principle if the principle is stupid. Australia has laws, and there’s no reason to give an athlete a waiver. He’s the only person who had that issue for a reason. Australia wasn’t being hoes - they were standing up for their citizens who would feel a way about this one guy getting an exemption. This isn’t about principles, you just like his idiotic stance. That’s why you all speak on vague ass terms and try to appeal to abstract notions.

To be honest, that’s true. Tennis Australia’s laws differed from the Federal state, but it’s guidelines are actually “following the science”. All that other stuff if just political posturing.

Bro, the KKK example is off base and you know it. Not even close to the same.

The science says Novak recovered from Covid so he’s got some level of antibodies (even the EU accepts people’s recovery from COVID in lieu of vaxx).

Aussie federal government just doing too much for no reason. Let the man play Tennis.

It’s be easier for Novak to just “get the shot” and go for greatness, but he said nah. Not a a lot of athletes can do the same if history was on the line.

I’m calling it as it is.

FAA nerves got a complete stranglehold on him

you can tell once Rublev blew up his gameplan of being forced to go up the line with his backhand...he's (FAA) been lost out there...leaving Rublev with way too much court to work with
