And those features go no where

The scene been dead last 8 months

Hip Hop is hard to sell in Canada. I've put on shows for over 10 years. These guys will get millions of views online, but they never perform in any of the actual venues in the city. The guys who perform non stop and keep the venues alive, can't break past 10000 views on a YouTube video. On top of that, these shows are becoming less and less black. There is almost zero avenues for black music in this country anymore. No Much Music coverage killed us. If you're not a face tatted, drug using white rapper, you have to be a black murdering, drug dealer. Its all the way fukked up!! On top of that most if these white rappers are either super nationalistic, xenophobic, and don't even care. The only other way to survive as a black artist is through grants, but you're at the mercy of the grant providers. And if you don't get the grants, you're never going to get any traction.

True

Or maybe the music is trash

Good music will always rise to the top

Blacka has a strong team behind him. If he was down south he would have blown long time ago. There is no market for him here because he isn't a killer. He would have fit in perfect with the Much Music era. He's clean enough and presentable enough. He's not lying. The whole game is rigged against black artists here.

In 1996, the average price for a home in the GTA was $198,150. Today, it’s $1,095,475.

Skyrocketing prices over the last 25 years were fuelled by strong demand and limited supply, a new report by Re/Max Canada found. Since 1996, residential unit sales have doubled and the average price has increased by 453 per cent.

Between 1996 and 2021, more than two million homes were sold in the GTA, representing a $1.1 trillion boom for the real estate market.

“Performance of the GTA housing market over the 25-year period has been nothing short of remarkable,” said Christopher Alexander, president of Re/Max Canada, in a press release. This is especially so when considering this time period was characterized by the tech meltdown of 2000, 9/11, SARS, the Great Recession of 2008, Ontario’s Fair Housing Plan and the ongoing pandemic, he added.

While costs are shooting up, Alexander said the average annual growth rate is 7.08 per cent, which is the “best pocket” to be in as it’s not too strong and is still positive – meaning homeowners make “a bit of equity every year.”
