It's such bullshyt. I feel these companies have to be paying people more money to get them back in office. Honestly, it feels miserable thinking about going back to office because I saved so much money staying at home. Also, I feel a major thing about mandatory RTO is due to managers being bored and want that power back. They're kinda powerless when we're in a WFH setting but in office they regain that power.

Hopefully my position doesn't force RTO because it's currently WFH but company is forcing RTO in 2026. It would be BS because the team i'm in is scattered all over Canada. However, I've had some co-workers in a similar position had to return to office and basically do the same shyt they were doing at wfh. None of the team members were in the same building but company still forced people to go to office.
Exactly man, just quiet firing man and bull shyt power plays.

A big thing I'm noticing is a lot of private/public orgs mismanage their budgets and then we gotta pay for it.

The bold is what they're praying for tbh. I think in this job market it's an incredible risk to do that.

Also fully agree about loss in revenue in the cities is why we're snapping back into reality. Cities are losing a ton of money due to less foot traffic. I fully understand why they want to do this but WFH exposed how useless being in the office is for most jobs tbh I feel production and morale improved with WTFH

They don't care

Toronto police are investigating after an eight-year-old boy was killed by gunfire while sleeping inside his North York home early Saturday morning.

Police say officers responded to reports of gunshots near Martha Eaton Way and Trethewey Drive just before 12:30 a.m.

Why is the federal goverment trying to legislate employees of a public company back to work

It's not like it's the only airline in Canada

The only bad thing I see is Air Canada agreeing to their demands and 6 months laying off like 20 percent of them
