@MikelArteta vaughan hot like that? :wtf:

This tow truck stuff?

vaughan the new brampton, politicans sold out allowing condos to be build on every corner and lounges and nightclubs in resendential areas. I got two african lounges like a minute from me and on the weekends its always :mjpls:.

But also a lot of tow truck drivers and bikers live in vaughan as well. Plus criminals know you'll get away with it

You need to make $38 an hour to afford a 1 bedroom in Toronto... Brehs

If your older folks don't have a little bread, which majority cannot afford retirement, you're done for out here...

and most jobs aren't even paying that.

Everyone who bought a condo in the past few years has a mortgage worth more than their property. If they were to lose their job for example and had to sell they would be at a loss.

No jobs out there as well, even gig work . If this was the us we would have got a stimulus check by now, but instead this is canada just line up at the food bank and hope you get a ping on uber eats 6 dollars for 20 kms

I feel blessed that my family is in decent enough position.
We own our house, pay our mortgage and our plan is its our forever home, so im not too fussed about real estate market swings right now. Both wife and I are gainfully employed. If I were to lose my job, my severance would be pretty good actually. I have 20plus years.

Can't fathom what others are going through. I do wonder how my kids will fair. Theyre still in elementary school, so have time.

I was able to buy my first condo on my own at 24. $170k :heh:

Damn

Canada must ‘reinvent’ economy like it did in 1945, finance minister says

Meanwhile Unemployment is almost double what the US currently. massive amounts of migration to keep housing and GDP prices rising. Its all a deck of cards.

Canada could rebound, but not with how we operate because we need to overhaul everything. Our current system is broken because they government will always bend the knee to the oligarchs. The government needs to stop protecting these companies and allow others to grow and create jobs.

RIght now Carney should be looking to attract businesses to set up shop here. Right now America is f'n up, and I feel we should looking at this as an opportunity to capitalize on it. We also need programs where it's easy to Canadians can get resources to build. We talked about it in this thread weeks ago but Canada f'd up making real estate our major investment because when that collapse wer're left with nothing. Canadian culture being to risk-averse is why we're in this mess because we should've given more opportunities for those to make money outside of real estate because real estate shouldn't be what a country relies on.

I think we need to accept it's going to be difficult and need to invest in tech, science, logistics and invest in our natural resources and energy better. If you look at most developed countries Canada will be dead last in many areas which is why so many countries have passed us. Canada is an educated country and you can't tell me we can't have people set up shop here. I know wages and cost of living will be a major barrier but we should've been investing in these areas long time ago which would've helped with our wage issue. I feel Canada is in a situation where we took too long to take any action and allowed corporation run the country.

I don't think we get out of this mess until we go hard on the oligopolies that run the country because they held us back. That's very hard to do because so many of our politicians are in their pocket.

Canada is doomed.

You will not see any changes in this country in your lifetime.

Plan accordingly.

which canada wont
you see now with this TFW scam, the oligopolies want tfw, they were all on that made in canada support canada business ish but will employ a foreigner on a lmia scam over a cdn.

I'll say it again its maddening that unemployment is so high and we are basically in a recession yet still giving work permits to international students and bringing in tfws

I have very, very low expectations for Canada turning it around. It's def ain't happening with the amount of lobbyist and protection. I think we're at a part of no reutrn for this decade because I don't trust and party to get their act together.

The unemployment issue is only going to get worse especially when they force people back to office. They hope you quite because it's hard to land somewhere in this market.
