There has been increasing concern about an influx of cases linked to parties and social gatherings at private residences in Ontario.

About 89 people reportedly attended a party in the backyard of a Brampton home over the weekend, prompting the city's mayor Patrick Brown to suggest that the province should consider scaling back the size of allowable gatherings, which now stands at 100 outdoors and 50 indoors.
