There is actually existing scholarship proving the correlation between positive economic and educational impact with new refugee populations -- they actually BENEFIT the state more than they harm it. Especially in European countries, refugees have been proven to pay more via taxes + social contributions than they receive.

And for @Emperor_ReinScarf to be out here talking about the cons of Syrians coming here is because the nikka () is clearly unaware of the myriad of ways in which the Harper government has ensured any existing funding/benefits for refugees has been re-directed elsewhere (by cutting $10 million for health and settlement programs, plus dental and drug benefits for refugees during his terms). These nikkas aren't getting shyt when they come here. There's also studies proving the consistency of refugees being less likely to utilize social services and more likely to be employed than the average Canadian.

Fam, a majority of the Canadian populous wouldn't be existent here if that was the case. There isn't much of a difference between a refugee or immigrant, other than one coming by force, versus the other coming by choice. Either way, we're all foreigners, which is why I don't respect any person of colour spewing anti-refugee b/s. It's c00nery.

Anti-refugee? Why? Because I'm not set to cape 100% for a group of people that wouldn't cape for my people, treat my people like third, forth, and fifth class citizens in their homeland? I'm just not caught up in the hype. I sympathize for them and feel sorry that there caught in between a range of conflicts but that's on their people. I actually work at a hospital im on the front lines.

You know how much tax payers money is flushed down the toilet daily on compassionate grounds due to refugees and undocumented immigrants and now 25k Syrians jump the line
