Crazy, I work downtown at a hospital, but id rather live in the burbs.

Can still rent a nice basement for a grand in Vaughan or Brampton, or a apartment for around the same price.

its these millenials fam, I am one as well but damn all these mf'ers want to experience "the Toronto life", even if they get jobs that pay 30k a year with their history degrees

they all want to live in the city, and the average monthly rent that new condo renters are willing to pay in the last 5 years is $1800

Yeah, they don't but they're also not mentally and physically disabled. They don't live in substandard conditions, and they can think logically and provide for themselves because they are physically and mentally able. You cannot put everybody in the same realm of thinking. Just because you're doing well doesn't mean other people have the capability to live and provide for themselves as you can.

I don't buy this argument. You can be both physically and mentally able but certain doors will still remain closed to you. Doesn't make sense to conflate doors opening with ability to exploit that opportunity.

I try not too think too much about how my ass is getting taxed. I'd be rich if all my gross income actually ended up in my pocket.

what kind of pension you talking about? just regular one or are you talking about RRSP? can't you touch that before you retire?

It will HAVE TO burst? at this point, IDK breh ... but to be honest as sick as Toronto is it definitely isn't worth that kind of rent. stay your ass in the suburbs and drive or take public transportation to the city.
