Would have been smarter to ban outright foreign ownership on new homes like Australia does and as well do what Switzerland do with a quota say only 20 percent of homes can be sold to foreigners or to end it all together and only folks with a pr or citizenship can buy homes

This is like raising gss prices to 1.30 overnight, I still need gas I'm going to pay.

there is also no compelling evidence that this will actually cool down the market. it's hard to imagine that somebody willing to lay down 2-3 million for a crib would buckle at the prospect of adding a couple extra hundred K on top of that. it's just more money to launder. and if the market continues heating up and the govt collects a shytload of tax money as a result you think they will say to all these rich foreigners? nah, they will want more of them parking their cash in Canada.

Due to immigration issues Beenie Man will no longer be able to perform as part of OVO Fest 2016 on Saturday July 30th at TD Echo Beach in Toronto. In his place we have booked a slew of surprise special guests and of course Machel Montano will still headline as planned, with special guests of his own.
