toronto transit is pathetic,, whoever planned the city did it horribly, should have had stations stretching to the zoo going east, north to vaughan, working with mississauga to stretch to sauga

Can't turn a profit because the federal government doesn't help them though and many of their salaries are outrageous

I learned long ago not to count on the TTC to do anything worthwhile in my lifetime. I was right.

Highest ridership in North America and can't turn a profit. Can't maintain or update their system either. Inefficient and unreliable. Just a horribly run business.

We basically needed whole new subway lines over 10 years ago. The need will only get extremely pressing over time.

If you don't live Downton the subway is useless

t-dot till they bury me
its over

a house on my street is listed for 1.59 million :dahell:

8 years ago houses on my street were going for 550k

even these condos aint worth it, like 300k for a matchbox with maintenance of like 500 a month

when i get married ill just be renting one of those matchboxes for like 1,400-1,500 a month

bought my semi 4 years ago for $450 (3 bed/3 bath, finished basement - approx 2000 sqft total)...keeping my eye on resales; one just sold on my street last week for $800 - was listed for $680 (no finished basement)...another just got listed for $700 :beli:

market is too crazy; we want to upgrade (need a bit more space for inlaws) and to get a detached house in Sauga in the area that we want - minimum $900 :what::camby::pacspit:

Yeah it's crazy , like who can afford these houses? Even with a downpayment of like 100k for a average house in the GTA your stuck with a mortgage of like 7-800k.

Government stands stilll with these interest rates and foreign ownership

Ban foreign ownership and raise interest rates to like 6percent

Sometimes I look at the states and it's crazy big ol' houses for like 250k etc.

The monetary policy is a bad scheme to encourage borrowing/ lending. Corporations/banks just sitting on their money. We're suffering for it.

Because they're paying secretaries 80K and office staff around 6 figures. I'm not kidding.
