Thing is non-white immigrants see the landscape with no blacks in high ranking roles and buy into the 'cism. US is fukked but at least they got blacks as Presidents and VP's. To be fair, black people are a racial category in Toronto. If most black people in Toronto were say...Wolof people from Senegal - then we'd see interesting group economic/social dynamics.

They don't let black people get to a certain point. You should be happy with where you're at...that's it. There's no movement beyond that. Again, I know plenty of black people who are doing well and have good jobs. But they aren't in top roles like President, VP, etc. Those spots are still predominantly for white males. Asians are making moves though. I'm not sure if that will actually benefit us.
