In time, the Ontario govt will take the best practices of places like Colorado. Largely because they haven't got a choice. The scheme will make money (not as much as they'd like) and then they'll adapt to cater to consumer needs better to make an even larger revenue.
I think my initial point should be noted. Due to wealth disparities, these private weed sellers are largely not the type of people who'd be prosecuted for possession and trafficking offences. I think it's unfair that monied persons get to profit most of off the dismantling of the war on drugs on the cannabis front. With publicly distributed marijuana, at least the dividends are spread with more equity and racialized persons have a greater chance at employment
