I was told this a long time ago which I understand now in my adult life. There are very few people in this world that you truly form a connection or bond with & if you're not careful it slips away or goes right by you. The one that got away from me left because she listened to her older sister who was upset that her best friend/roommate was engaged to my friend & I was with her sister & she was single with nothing going on in her life. I haven't had that kind of connection with another female since & it's been years.

Had to prove I could walk away, thinking, "She'll come back around."
August 2010...one of her friend's post pics on FB of a vacation she took with my ex and some friends.

So, basically, she ethered the fukk out of me. She blocked me on Facebook, etc. Came to find out "Mike" had been cheating on her with a couple different chicks, reached out to her when we bumped into each other one day and she said "Never talk to me or contact me ever again in your life."
I ended up moving that winter and spent the next 3 years dating other girls but secretly thinking and dreaming about that girl. Thinking about what went wrong in that relationship, reflecting on the truth in the ether, and trying to better myself overall.

But the universe gave me a second chance brehs.
Not with the same girl, but with another. She's everything I could ask for in a woman, but had I met her 3 years ago, I would've done nothing but fukked it up.
So, in a way, I'm glad that first one got away. Sometimes they have to.
