No that would make your DS3 NOT plug and play. It would be plug, configure, then play. Windows has all the needed drivers for the Xbox controller built in. You simply plug in your controller and all buttons and functions are automatically mapped correctly and ready to go. No additional mapping software or configuration modes nikka. You're making this far more complicated than it seems. Stop confusing the complicated DS3 setup to the simple goodness of that Xbox gaming setup

My issue is with the DS2 not the DS3. Dualshock 3 works fine on my PC with motionjoy, I just wanted my DS2 to work so I can run games like NBA 2K with the homies and save $40 on a new gaming controller like I've managed to do this gen with the PS3 (PS2 controllers work fine on PS3 with a $5 USB to PS2 adapter for those who don't know)


the 360xce program works with the DS2, all the buttons pick up when u test it in input but when u run the game it seems to have no effect


i followed every step in this vid with no success, might just be windows 8 :yeshrug:

Yeah, I'm a have to sit down and go through it.

I admit, I didn't really toy around with the driver settings while running this. When I have some more time I'll dabble with it some more.

Just tried it again, and I didn't have it in the screen's native resolution.

Now this shyt is full screen and beautiful.

it's up to you. v-sync caps your framerate at your monitors refresh rate, and prevents 'screen tearing', but it does introduce 'input lag'. now coming from consoles, where v-sync and controllers are standard, you might not notice that. but trust me, if you're playing a fast paced multiplayer game, with a high dpi mouse, you will notice the 'input lag' (it's a slight delay, as v-sync 'waits' for the frame to sync)

I usually use v-sync on single player games, where reaction speed isn't that important, but turn it off in competitive multiplayer games. not to mention I don't need my card running at 99%, and kicking out 300fps, to play Portal 2. v-sync (or otherwise limiting your fps) at least gives my card a break

Depends on what you're playing and if you notice screen tearing. If you have screen tear then enable vsync.

Speaking about benchmarks heres a new one from Unigine,

Valley Benchmark | Unigine: real-time 3D engine (game, simulation, visualization and VR)

Good to use to gauge your performance. Really demanding.

Cool. I just ran it again with VSync on and it was steady at 60fps. Only dipped to 59.4. I think I'll be fine playing it with it on for a game like RE5.

I don't know what I was waiting for. I'm about to eat off of these cheap ass games.

you might see the fps jump around between 58-62, but it really doesn't mean anything. that kinda brings me to the other issue with v-sync: it prefers to be at 30 or 60 fps. that's fine if you can easily maintain a framerate above 60, but if it dips down to the 40-50's, v-sync might yank it down to 30fps. so if you're ever in a situation where it seems you're capped at 30fps, turn off v-sync, and you might pick up a few frames

With EVGA Precision and Nvidia cards you can just cap the framerate instead of using Vsync. The card will downclock itself in a way where it only uses what it needs to give you 60 FPS. This gets rid of any screen tearing with no input lag.

So far it has been rock solid for me when I use it. Adaptive V-Sync is a whole different story as that still causes input lag. Could be the cards and monitors we use. It's def a lot better with the 690 than it was with the 580s for me.

I'm just a dikk though. I get in game, and move my mouse hella fast back and forth, and if I see any screen tearing, I'm not happy :jawalrus:

u can't use motion joy offline with any version higher than that so I threw the latest one in the bushes


If something happens to my connection for any reason I still want to be able to game, fuk that Xbox 720 always gotta be online to play a game sh1t b


don't download any version of Motion joy with a 7 in it b
