I'm gonna buy Tomb Raider Anniversary and TR1.
Any other real TR game I should play to cleanse myself of that abomination FOTR?
Well I bought TR1-3 and Anniversary. I started with 1 first. My god, the controls are absolutely shyt. I know it's old but shyt other 3d PSX games controlled wonderfully.Don't bother playing the original Tomb Raider if you are going to play Anniversary. It hasn't aged well and it's tough to go back.
And the only bad Tomb Raider is supposedly Angel of Darkness, but I've never played it.
Why you playing this old shyt breh? It didn't age well. Beat ROTR and call it a day.Well I bought TR1-3 and Anniversary. I started with 1 first. My god, the controls are absolutely shyt. I know it's old but shyt other 3d PSX games controlled wonderfully.
I saw it on sale and had an excuse to buy it. I wanted to see how much it deviated from the current TR games. Why you playing this old shyt breh? It didn't age well. Beat ROTR and call it a day.![]()
do you want 60fps at 4k? Get 980ti sli. I'd water cool the CPU (get at least a 4790k and overclock it). You need around 1000 watts.Who does 4K here? @Ciggavelli @Liquid @Leasy ???
I'm looking to build a steambox for a 4K TV.
- Any good graphics cards < $600 out there?
- Is SLI required?
- Do I have to do water cooling?
- Do I have to get an overclocked CPU?
- How many watts should I look at for a PSU?
have you considered X99? I'm thinking of going that route this year. 6-coreShould I go for a LGA 1151 or 1150 mobo?I have 8GBs of DDR3 in my current rig but I might use my current parts to make a second computer to replace my mom's dusty ass computer.

One card will get you 4K at 30fps on high settings. 2 cards will get you 4k at 60fps at high settings. Also realize you won't be able to play all games at 4k 60fps on ultra or high. I have a Titan X sli setup and I can't play all games at 4K 60fps all ultra. You'll have to make some sacrifices at that resolution
4K ain't worth it till we see what the next gen cards can do. Go 2K, most can't tell the difference and there is a jump in quality from 1080p.![]()
My pockets might not be ready for 4k yet. I would probably be good running 2 on high, but I might be better off waiting. Good lookin out tho.
I have a 4K TV and 3 1440p monitors. I legit can't tell the difference between 2K on my 25" monitor and 4K on my 48" TV. 1440p (2K) is the way to go. It looks much better than 1080p and is easier to run. 4K is just not worth the performance hit, especially when it barely looks better than 4K. Plus, it's too expensive now and you still can't run all ultra 60fps on a lot of games in 4K (even with my Titan X SLI setup). Just grab a nice 1440p monitor and a 980ti. You'll be good to go![]()
