Just don't see the point of a 4GB stick anymore. Dual channel really doesn't add much from all that I have seen.

Thanks for the input. :salute: Just the thought of all the games I'll be able to play at max.:ahh:

Get an r9 390, or wait for nvidia pascal. Also go for 16gb or ram if you can. You wont regret it.

Thinking about copping a 980ti VR edition tomorrow and putting it in my "old" 4820k build. I can make that my VR machine. I'll just put my two 780tis, that are currently in that machine, on eBay to cut the costs. :jbhmm:

I personally wouldn't buy a 970 right now, The pascal replacement for that card is right around the corner.

If you do buy the card get it from mirco center, and buy the 2 year replacement plan. They allow you to return your gpu for full credit even if its working no questions asked.

I have 980 ti's.

sadly I know the pascal replacement for the 980 ti are a ways off.
The rumors suggest otherwise. 16gb VRAM, 25% faster than the Titan X/980ti

I was gonna buy a 980ti VR edition for my VR setup today (I already got 2 Titan Xs in my main computer), but with the rumors flying around about the upcoming Pascal Cards supposedly being released in June, I felt like it would just be wasted money. I still might buy a prefab VR machine in the coming weeks, just to have it, but it seems like that might not be a good decision.

The waiting game sucks. :mjcry:

Started with a fx-8320 and a R9 270x.

Humble beginnings.

This 970 tho now. Finna upgrade to Intel soon.

We made it :mjcry:

We thought Kaveri and Bulldozers would play our games on max...
Now we build Core i5 and 980 Ti systems for a couple of stacks

:wow:

same here.
the first pc i build from scratch was AMD and Radeon.
i was playing Arkham Asylum in slow motion getting like 15 fps during big fights.

That's an EVGA, right? Aren't they expected to announce the release date for Pascal within the next month?

Why not just buy it now, sit on it, and register for the Step Up Program. Exchange it when Pascal drops. Or use it if it doesn't look like it's worth the wait.
