That's an EVGA, right? Aren't they expected to announce the release date for Pascal within the next month?

Why not just buy it now, sit on it, and register for the Step Up Program. Exchange it when Pascal drops. Or use it if it doesn't look like it's worth the wait.
It's all rumors now. But you have given me something to consider :jbhmm:

Thanks

copped the steam controller on friday and played some rise of the tomb raider for a bit and already am more comfortable with it the 360 gamepad. with valve's continued support, the potential with this thing is limitless :ohhh:

i know @Liquid and a few others have one already.. any tips/tricks/information i should be aware of?

I've been playing everything with my Steam controller. shyt works great

be sure to try out the gyro function. gyro aiming works real good

touch menu's are great for any game that has a hotbar, or whatever extra bindings you may need. mode switching as well

best advice is to experiment with it. like you said, the potential is limitless. also use the Steam beta-client to get the latest updates for the controller

Steam controller looks like the type of shyt I'd end up spending hours tweaking and messing with instead of playing games.

You should get one. Its very good and the next one will be even better with all the feedback and profiles that have been created.

Idk man.. shyt seems like it's not necessary if i'm being honest. As of right now, I have a Logitech G500 gaming mouse, a Thermaltake Esports Mechanical Keyboard and a PS4/Xbox 360 controller. I originally bought the KB/M for gaming but I seldom play FPS games like that and my 360 controller is damn near perfect imo. Just plug and play though I don't feel like playing SFV with it. The PS4 controller is good but switching it from the PS4 to PC back and forth is annoying and the blutooth adapter I had is lost. I'm not sure if it's worth geting a Steam controller.. I peruse the Neogaf Steam controller thread and see there's a bevy of beta updates for it very often but at the same time i see posts where guys seem to talk about losing bindings and having to keep adjusting/tweaking profiles per game.

Good looks on the help brehs. I'll wait it out til June for the Pascal cards. It works out because I save up more for one of those G-Sync monitors. I was in Micro Center chopping it up with some with workers and those things are beautiful. :mjcry:

Just don't buy your weird Anime shyt for a month and grab the controller breh, it's a unique way to play and fun to tweak the profiles the community has released.

Any 27-30" 4k monitors out there below $500 that could be recommended?

Preferably G sync and widescreen.

:snoop: This is why sometimes PC gaming is frustrating. PS4 controller is just not working with SFV even though it worked before. Nothing I'm doing works(running DS4windows, X360CE as per the forum pinned topic etc.) shyt makes me lose interest in playing.
