I'd have to get a new motherboard too now that I'm researching these CPUs.

:jbhmm:

Might fukk around and drop 500+ on this and I still want to run a dual monitor set up

What is your overall budget? The 3570K is still a beast and I believe it STILL won't bottleneck a 1080.

what cpu do you have now?

chances are you might not need the newest and 'best' cpu. or at least it's advantages might not be significant enough to justify the price to upgrade both your cpu and mobo (and probably ram)

3570K...

I'm just trying to stream some games on my PC without it lagging to shyt. My upload is fine, so it's not that. I've been messing with settings in OBS for a day and it doesn't matter what I mess with the stream is just freezing consistently. If it's not the CPU what is it? Overwatch is running between 60-70fps for the most part. If it's something I can tweak, I'll be all for it.

I tried messing with some stuff in BIOS but after upgrading to Win 10 I can't even access the shyt anymore

do you overclock your cpu?

you can use the resource monitor to see if it looks like your cpu is hitting it's limits

you could try to find a 3770k, but again, I would try to figure out if the cpu is really the issue first

I don't think it's your CPU. Think about it, PS4/Xbox One streams games fine online at 30fps so if it' slagging on your setup which is obviously much stronger it's probably something else. That CPU is fine for streaming and gaming.

You know what lemme fukk with mines real quickk..

Quick stream...(Using Xsplit Gamecaster)

Specs: I5 4690K
AMD Radeon R9 280 3GB
Windows 10
8GB Ram
Game is on an 1TB HDD

No, overclock. But again, I can't get to the BIOS/UEFI settings to even do it now after upgrading to Win 10.

Depending on who makes your motherboard they should have an app so that you can disable fast boot from within Windows. You should then be able to get into the UEFI by holding whatever keys that are required.

I'll look into it. I was googling around yesterday and couldn't really find a way to get in there. Going to see if I can find an app like you're suggesting

I got 3 Dell 25" 1440ps for sale in perfect condition. PM me if you are interested in buying them. You need displayport though, just an FYI

They are these: Dell UltraSharp 25 Monitor - U2515H

paging @Ciggavelli

a breh in my area is selling an asus rog swift pb278q for $450 and was wondering if youve had any experience with this model

144hz/g-sync seems too compelling to pass up :lupe:
No, I haven't but I think @2gunsup and @Ruck86 have. You might want to ask them. I've moved on from straight 1440p to 3440x1440 ultrawides. I'd rather have more Ks and screen real estate than above 60hz. 60 fps is fine for me. Plus at my new resolution (basically 3K), hitting 60 is about all you're gonna get at all ultra

If y'all haven't made the move I highly suggest dropping OBS for Xsplit game caster, the UI is simple yet packed with great tools like the annotation and highlight system it has, it also streams seamlessly if you have a decent around 8mbs upload speed.

Have you tried setting your resolution to 720p and your upload mbs to 3 mbs with a constant variable so it doesn't spike? Sorry if that's been mentioned skimming through so of these last few post.
