I work from home half the time. Maybe I can write off my computer as well


(Nah, I'll get audited for buying Titan X Ps, a 5K monitor, and a 6850k. Way overkill for work...lol. I'm gonna write off my Surfacebook Pro though. I can justify that. $1800 )

If you bought it component by component just write off the none gaming items. You could prolly claim that 5k monitor

1.4 for that you're venturing to unsafe levels. put it at 4.0 and keep it stable and safe. maybe 4.1, but 1.4 is pushing it

just wanted to see what the chip's limits were
running stable now @4.3 ghz, 1.375v

still disappointed, but my cooling can compensate for the extra heat output.

Anything over 1.3 is risky, but if it's stable and you got a good PSU, you're golden.


For instance my 6850k is at 1.3 and I can push 4.2ghz. I could go further, and I have the warranty on the chip, but I don't wanna risk it. Anything over 4.0 is good in my book

Just ordered my gtx 1060. Going to that from a 280x so the difference should be pretty huge. Am excited

that was my initial overclock and voltage too. this cpu seems to move up pretty linearly until it just hits a massive wall at about 4.2 and they just start requiring a crazy amount of juice.

What games you running? I'm thinking of getting this if it can max out The Witcher 3.

I haven't even tried the game yet cuz I still have a 670

TW3 runs beautifully maxed out with some of the extreme AA n a couple other things turned down. My PC is mostly a R6 Siege and Overwatch box right now

I do man. I'm doing a playthrough of the ME trilogy right now but it runs pretty much everything max at 60 or almost max with some of the more crazy settings down a bit.

I mostly play Siege though and it's funny how much better it runs now.
