So, it turns out my BF4 problems weren't BF4 problems at all, at least not completely. fukking McAfee real time scanning was the problem, which didn't start until after BF4 was installed. I'm not sure what all of this means, or why McAfee is scanning BF4 before it is even launched, but whenever I turn off real time scanning, my computer boots up as fast as it always did. Once it's on, it's back to booting up slowly. Any suggestions on how to fix this? What could McAfee possibly be scanning with BF4 before it is even up and running? I see nothing in msconfig or scheduled tasks. Is there somewhere else I should be looking?

Yeah, I'm gonna try that, but it still begs the question, what was it about BF4 that caused this? I guess if it works, whatever... Still, it's a fukking mysterythere should be an exceptions list option where you can add software to an ignore list.
