I do a lot of web surfing mostly forums and youtube....

a SSD will make everything much more responsive. it's pretty much the cheapest upgrade that will give you the most noticeable improvements

It's not going to be more powerful than 2 980s. the gm200 will most likely a repeat of gk110 (titan/780/ti). I will wait what amd comes with than give my money to nvidia. If 390x is still 4gb than I'll pass on that and wait on Volta. 8gb minimum will be my next card.

you know how this works: a card like that is never gonna be 'worth it'. but it will be the most powerful thing around, and two of them might fit your needs

If that new "thief in the shadows" oculus rift game needs a Titan x, that can't be a good sign.

What do we really need to make VR possible? I wanna jump on the train immediately.

Maybe I'm waiting until the summer or fall now to build my new shyt. AMD needs to make an announcement.

I doubt it'll be 4gb. Why wouldn't they increase it from the 290x? I'm thinking more like 6gb. But if it's 4gb, we gotta wait a while for the 8gb variant. It took forever for the 8gb 290xs to come out (same with the 6gb 780s too).

it's some crazy UE4 VR demo I guess. it's easy to push the limits to show off tech. I wouldn't consider it to be representative of what's needed for VR

did you ever try running the UE4 Elemental demo? shyt brought my FPS down to the teens. but Unreal Tournament (also UE4) runs at ~120 fps on my sysetm
