just finished using autocad throughout high school so im positive in that its of no interest to me. the 4690k, from what i can tell, seems to be the default chip in most cookie cutter intel builds. i know its solid for gaming but realistically, how would it perform for someone who is a novice but really looking to dive into the world of programming and/or networking (e.g. setting up a vpn or virtual machine)
are ssd's being defective still a thing? thought maybe with the adoption rate of them the issues like lock ups would've been mostly resolved.
since about late last year ive noticed a lot of the AAA titles have been like 30GB a pop. just wanted to have enough headroom is all.
im not a graphics whore or anything but word on the street is that the 970 is simply the card to beat in terms of price/performance. im paying $250 for it. is that a steal or would i be better off with a cheaper gpu?
Great price for the card, that angle is covered. As for SSD, I'm not dooming and glooming here, they are awesome, however, I er on the side of caution, that's all. If you can get them cheap go right on ahead, just buy a backup and or backup your shyt if possible. As for the issue of space, if you're into "attaining" games via other means, cracks come in reduced space. If you're diving into the world of programming for the first time you really only need about 8gigs of ram for both Autocad and Maya and or win7 or higher. I just like knowing I don't need an upgrade any time soon, either way, you're looking at a rig under 1000.
