I keep losing space on my ssd (my os drive). I lost like 200mb today, and I don't know why (I cleared my cache and everything). I lost a bit last night because of windows updates, but I can't figure out where the loss is coming from. Any suggestions?

I just checked updates that were installed and it said failed, though I received no error messages when it was updating before, and my computer seems fine. I dunno brehs. shyt's strange

Edit: My other computer says failed too, so I guess it's nothing.

But why am I losing space on my ssd? :mjcry:

You got system restore on? If so that is problem the problem..

You install steam games on it...if so it could just be updates to games...

Yeah, I have system restore. It explained my losses last night, but the 200mb loss today was weird. There was no new restore point. Anything else that might cause it?

Steam games are on my other hdd, so it's probably not that

Did you turn it off? If not then it is just going to keep making restore points and taking up space

You using an anti virus or internet security suite? If so check to see if logging is turned on. I use Kaspersky and out of the box it has logging set to 15GB...

Yeah I use mcafee. I'll check that out. Thanks

I limit the amount of space for restore points, so I'm not really worried about that. I just don't know why 200mb just flies away for no good reason. Sometimes it happens overnight when my computer is turned off. Like I'll be at 141.3 when I go to bed and when I wake up and turn on my computer I'm at 141.5. It makes no sense

$560 for a GTX 980 ti Zotac Amp edition. Buy or no buy? I have a GTX 980 G1 I'd sell after buying.
