I had this mobo for over a year now, so RMA out the question, but once my 970 comes back i'm definitely trying the other slots out. My wifi card works in the other x16 slots, so that gives me some hope

Best programs to test for artifacting and flickering?

I ran evga oc scanner X and got no artifacts, I heated up my gpu with furmark and got no artifacts. Is there any program to test for flickering? I got two games that have texture flickering (Blops 3, but other people have that problem too and Fallout 4, which nobody seems to have the problem but one person on steam).

Is there a quick way to test my gpu? I REALLY don't want to spend 10 hours testing different games to see if they flicker. But I think I might have to :to:

Have you tried 3dmark or the Unigine Valley/Heaven programs?

So brehs, it wasn't my 970 that was defective. I got a defective PCI-e slot :francis:

I posted a fix for the 970 GTX earlier if we were having same issue. I basically have to disable their auto fan and use EVGA precision to use a fan curve. Havnt had an issue since

edit: just saw your network card wouldnt even work in it

Yeah, got word that my replacement 970 is on the way. Gonna test it in the other x16 slots soon as I get it back.

This. I have 3dmark, heaven and valley. Heaven is still the best tool to put Gpus through its paces.
How long do you usually run Heaven to check for flickering or artifacts?

I benchmarked a few times at the highest possible settings, and got shimmering, but no flickering or artifacting. The shimmering was always in the same place, so I think I'm okay there (if it was artifacting it would be random)

Edit: The shimmering is in the exact same place on my old pc, so I'm all good there

Brehs I feel like Comcast is throttling me because I have my own modem.

I have the 150mbps service, yet the highest speed i've reached is 33.5 download...

I wonder if my area has bad peak usage or some shyt...because last night my shyt was like 13mbps download, until like 2am.

comcast does the same to me. The throttled my main computer down to 1mb/s :mjcry:

The throttle you if you download too much. I downloaded 75gb in steam games one day, and they have now throttled that computer. My other computer gets 5mb/s.

Comcast is known to throttle. They do it to me all the time :mjcry:

You can call them up and tell them everything, but they don't give a shyt. They'll just say they're not throttling you. You can't convince them. They are fukking a$$hole :pacspit:
