The best bet for you is to keep subsidizing.

Start with the R9 270 and then keep moving up 6-9 months by grabbing a steal off craigslist or eBay and then dumping the old card quickly after testing and making sure the new card is good to go.

Just run standard tests to make sure everything is good. If it's an AMD card, make sure it wasn't used for mining cryptocurrencies.

Once you are in this game, it's hard to get out. You can move up to a quality card pretty quickly if you have alerts set up and max prices set aside.

man i can't dap you enough.

I bought the r9 270 graphics card for $100, and man it gave me computer a significant boost in performance. I don't know much about gpu performance and how it interacts with the cpu, but damn my computer is blazingly fast. It feels like it's twice as fast and now i meet the requirements to play 2015 games. :gladbron:

Just make sure you don't fall for the fanboys. Nvidia/AMD who gives a shyt, it's all about performance at the end of the day. An R9 270 for $100 is unbeatable

Is small hitching normal in most games? I'm getting like split second micro-stutters in Witcher 3 and Dragon Age. It sometimes happens once an hour, sometimes several times during a 10 minute interval. It's like a split millisecond pause (like micro-stutter). I can't remember if I had this in games before. Is this normal?

Maybe it's cause I'm in sli, who knows. But do you all experience hitching occasionally?

It usually happens in those big ass games when you are used to silky smooth gameplay from tighter experiences. I always assumed the micro-stuttering would happen in Witcher 3, especially when running 2+ cards.

Happened to me a lot when I was playing Fallout 3 in Crossfire.

ONLY PC Gamers notice shyt like this:

My laptop was water logged some months ago. It turns back on and functions fine but since then, the screen has blacked out. I checked the video card using a VGA cable and my TV and it works. I tried to reset the graphics driver but clicked on the incorrect one and now that doesn't work anymore. Is there something I can do to reset the entire laptop (BIOS I believe) to enable the screen again? If not, is there anyone here who can do it via another computer? I am at a loss as far as my next course of action.
