Nah it's just "smaller", it looks cleaner. I went from a 39inch tv to a 29inc monitor . I love it. I don't know if I will keep it though... I want a biggger one.

what APU are you looking at? Chances are an AMD 860K + a $100-$120 will smoke even the Kaveri.
go Intel, even the anniversary Pentium performs on par with the 860K. You also have the upgrade path to a sexy i7 after that.
my 1080 is 23" diagonal...just measured it.
i game at my desk and my desk *could* accommodate a 32" at max if i pushed it back farther but i think that would be overkill.
27" is probably the biggest i would go with my setup.
Breh go for it then. Get a 29 inch. I think I'm gonna sell my TV and then get a 32inch 1440P monitor. shyt is too crispy breh. I thought it'd be negligible or w/e but as soon as I hooked that display port cable into the monitor it was a wrap.. I then set up the brightness, clear text and screen text and it was good from there. Batman looked really good.

i have display ports on my 970 and have no idea what they are about.
1440p really is that much better. I highly recommend it.i'm still on that 1080 wave.
is 1440 really that big a jump that i should consider upgrading?
1440p is a big upgrade, but at this point I would wait for 4k monitors with an IPS or better screen and Freesync/G-Sync
i'm happy with my 1080 res...what i would like to know about is my max FPS.
if my monitor 60 hz...so if my GPU is getting 60+ am i really seeing it?
No, the max refresh rate is the max you can see no matter what your GPU can put out
you can't see more than 60fps on a 60hz monitor, but higher framerates will mean less input lag
why so low? I'm about to put this stuff on wish lists
