This is what I got. I can't tell if it's good or not. How do I interpret this?

There official site is fukked up. Storage & Network Connectivity Solutions | ATTO

Found it on major geeks though
Cool, I uploaded it.

Let me know what you get because I have been getting some inconsistent results across benchmarks. on ATTO it is showing 500/500 on my Kingston drive and feels as fast as it should. I am about to do a direct transfer on Monday of several large files to see what is up. Crystal is showing wild results on my end and has me worried since it is a brand new drive.

Ok the read and write looks good from 16.0 and on. I will have to re-check my latest bench, but we are getting about the same results from what I remember.

As you know 550 or so is about the fastest you are going to get on SATA III.

Man, I'm really here trying to install Ubuntu 10.4(old as hell) on a fukking Imac G4. This old ass Imac been sitting in my basement for a few years and the person who brought it here never came to get it. My cousin who just crashed into our house after some issues with his situation saw it and said He'll use it. This thing is SLOW as hell. pain in the ass to work too.

@Ciggavelli start with a larger number. Your drive looks good, the first results are just a fact of the filesizes being so small that it is completed before the drive has a chance to reach max speed.

never say never. but for now I've been using the Steam Controller. it takes some tinkering and getting used to, but you can really do a lot with it
How long does it take typically to "break in" and get used to it?? I'm thinking of copping one today. I'm tired of using this wired 360 controller(Okay I just am curious)

Breh, I tried reviving an old iMac G4 a few years ago. That thing is ancient, throw that in a trash can somewhere and get a $50 refurb on newegg. It will outclass that thing with ease.

Get it at Gamestop, I hear they are taking them back without any questions asked. Dumbass gamestop doesn't even have them on display for people to try them out over here :snoop:

I am watching this now:

Pretty excited about it, I wanted to wait 2-3 months before giving it a try to see what people work with the tools. I think it has great potential, but if I can't seem to get comfortable with it in a week I will return it and get the xbox one elite controller.

so my drive is all good?
Yeah, start at 16 or 32 filesize to see how it handles it upon starting.

Shut down the PC col and let it sit for a few minutes. Then get into Windows and then run a bench right away. If 16 or 32 is starting somewhere in the 400/400 range starting and going up you are good.

Did you also try Crystal Disk? Try that as well

@Liquid

These are my shytty samsung magician scores

SkgG1hF.jpg
It looks like it might just be averaging those scores. If Crystal Disk info gives you 530/530 or so at peak then you should be straight.

The random read and writes look low, but I have never used the samsung software myself. Can't speak for it apart from what it appears that shyt is doing.
