Is the fix only for the 840, or does it need to be applied to the 850 too? @daze23 do you know?
I haven't applied the fix to my new ssd yet either. Don't know if I have to...
not sure why it was removed. maybe a copyright issue with the music. I got it for free awhile back
i've designed skins for various electronic devices in the past.
this is definitely something i could do.
not sure if i would considering i don't own one though.
coming up with a nice design with all of those abnormal shapes
would take a while before i was happy with the final product.
not sure. I imagine the newer drives should come with the 'fixed' firmware
the fix is supposed to stop a gradual slowing down of read and write speed over time.
i have not experienced this at all so i have not messed with the fix.
in your opinion do my numbers look good to you?
i've had this SSD for well over a year.
Yeah I just gave up and went with an all black skin to cover up the gloss...I hate glossy plastic.
the fix was pretty painless. not sure how your numbers look...

stop what you are doing and get home as soon as you can.
Your numbers are off the chart thanks to rapid mode. You don't have anything to worry about.
I had no idea rapid mode increased performance so much. It's like 10x faster than the regular mode.
I gotta check tomorrow to see how it works with games, but I'm blown away with how much it improved my shytty scores from before.
