Damn. So the Rift really could be the most affordable VR headset. :ohhh:

I want the Vive, but no goddamn way am I paying $1.5k for it, especially since I already have the Rift coming.

$1200 for the PSVR is crazy too. Console gamers will never pay that. I thought it would be around $400 like the system. I might pass on that too, if it really is over 1K.

Thank you based Palmer :blessed:
I'm gonna wait for the official price

Yeah, it's just a rumor now. But it'll definitely cost more than the Rift. If it's under $800 I might consider buying it. I don't think it's gonna be that cheap though :francis:

Nah, The PS4 will not be no more than $600 tops. It has to undercut or match everyone in the market to even have a chance to succeed.

If Sony can come out with a PS4 bundle at $800 that shyt will be VERY attractive to those interested.

depends on your budget.. that is a very strong processor (top of the line, pretty much the new i7-3770k) but I think the next wave is 6 core intel processors (i7-5820k and above) but for NOW current gaming the 4970k is stronger since games only use a few cores at most

a strong processor to me, will last longer than any component in your computer including gpu (can cycle 2-3 gpus before you replace processor). If you want the top of the line right now then go with 4790k, which will be great for the next 2-3 years easily. i7-6700k/i7-5820k/i7-5960k are all overall stronger but obviously more expensive as well (less powerful cores but more cores - if that makes sense).

Also if you dont want to stream, id go with the 4790k and save the money. If you want to stream then go with the 5820k

What are the differences and why are they numbering like that? Like 4th 5th etc...

if I was building something today, I'd probably want a CPU that supports DDR4. but those options are more expensive

I have a 4790K, and it's done me well. I overclocked it to 4.6Ghz with liquid cooling. It's a good CPU (it doesn't bottleneck my Titan Xs). That being said, my next build will definitely be a 6-core. Get the 5830K (it costs a lot, but has more lanes, which is good for SLI/Crossfire) or wait for the new ones to come out this year, if you're going that route (which I think you should, if your budget can afford it).

But, the 4790k should last you through this generation. It's a really fast processor (it heats up real quick though, like all Haswell CPUs, so get liquid cooling if you're gonna overclock [which you should, since you're getting the K version])
