6300 is starting to show its age. Sucks you just asked today, newegg had the 8300 with hitman for $100.

I would recommend the 8350 if you can stretch, problem is once you reach $150 you might as well add another $25 or so for a low end haswell i5 :francis:

@Tunez buy it at jet.com for 15% off ($30 max off)

What is the best (best bang for your buck) AMD processor for gaming that won't bottleneck my gtx 970?

And yeah I know, I should've gotten Intel :francis:
Your ok breh amd not bad as some make it seem, it's just not intel quality. Get the FX 6300 it's like 105$ and get a
CRYORIG H7 cooler.

the 6 core fx-6300 is a pretty decent cpu for around 110.00 $ it should do well with a 970.

Yea this pretty much the issue if you dabble with the eight core cpu amd has then you might as well get a lower end i5 which is miles better.

We made it :mjcry:

We thought Kaveri and Bulldozers would play our games on max...
Now we build Core i5 and 980 Ti systems for a couple of stacks

:wow:

I'm not quite there yet breh :whoa:

We building up over time tho for sure. :blessed:

Went from that super budget build with a Rosewill Challenger case to a H440, a 970, some more ram, and now figuring out if I want an i5 or i7(Decisions decisons, the Porsche or the Range?).

The come up has been spectacular tho. Steve to Stephan.
