You can't go wrong with Western digital:ehh:
Seagate is hit or miss:patrice:
I was looking at the black series but amazon got it thru third party sellers. Might shop around and see who got the best deals. I got two external hard drives a TB each from WD that are nearly ten years old and still in working condition. Reliable brand.

I have a black WD 6TB in my machine, and it was well worth it. It is fast as hell, large, and comes with some strange fetching mechanism that speeds it up a bit. I normally get red WD HDDs, but the Black HDDs are the truth

The WD Black HDDs I think are the fastest drives out there outside of the Seagate firecuda

I'm sure the WD Black drives are fast. I'm just saying I don't know how important that is if you have your OS and most games on a SSD. I guess it depends what you're gonna do with it. my HDD is pretty much just music, pictures (and screenshots), and older/simple games

How are AMD CPUs? I feel like there's no reason to get one, but I haven't actually looked into it too much. Back when I was building a PC (over a year ago) it seemed like they weren't that great and you weren't saving much money.

I'm asking because a friend is pricing his potential build and keeps leaning towards AMD.

Edit: Could someone school me on AMD vs. Nvidia video cards too?

Question: are gaming chairs primarily for k/m players? B/c I mainly just sit on my couch w/my 360 controller.

at the moment their cpu's aren't up to par. there's always the promise of what's coming in the future, but that remains to be seen

as far as gpu's, the RX 480 is pretty good if you're looking for something for around $200. but Nvidia has better high-end cards

I have a top of the line gaming chair. It's meant for a desk, but can be put back for extra tilt. I stay with the couch if that's what your doing though with the 360 controller. $350 for a gaming chair for my desk was worth it to me, because I work a lot at home, and I mostly game on my PC with a chair. If you use a couch, and don't work at your desk, it's not worth it.

But if you're at your desk a lot, it is totally worth it. shyt fits like a glove and is so comfortable :wow:

@Orbital-Fetus you're not gonna believe this, but I brought another girl over (I'm on a bit of a manic stage right now...:manny:) and she almost broke my TV and new gaming chair too :damn:

Seeing that 4K OLED almost hit the ground made my heart stop for a minute. Luckily it's okay :whew:

I keep meeting crazy girls :dead:
