good set up to build?

 nikkas pay all that for a motherboard?? I mean damn I don't see what else so significant about a mobo warrants a pricetag like that.
Try to find a microcenter or something. They usually give nasty ass deals like I got my mobo for $10 when I bought the CPU with it.

I'd change the Asus board for the Asrock Z77 OC at that price. I'd get one stick of 8GB DDR3 as well instead of 2x4GB's. Like daze23 said, if you don't need 8 threads on the CPU go with the i5-3570k and upgrade the GPU to either a 7870 or 7950. You could then either keep the games they come with or sell them to recoup some cash.

Is there any way to get a dualshock 2 (PS2 pad) to be able to properly convert to 360's buttons the way a PS3 pad can? (Via motionjoy)

Motionjoy doesn't detect my PS2 pad but my PC does and I'm able to play oldschool emulator and MAME games with it. Modern games like Crysis 3 also detect the PS2 pad but the bottoms aren't in the Xbox360 layout and they're all mixed up and not aligned properly

When NBA 2K14 drops I plan to run with the PC version this time and want to be able to play it with the homies on the 40inch but don't wanna drop $40 for another pad

I'm basically looking for some tool to make the PS2 pad behave like a 360 one.. (PS3 pad does this fine with motion joy, but motion joy doesn't detect PS2 pads)

Any solutions?
