I have 2 external hard drives (one for videos, and one for backup). The video hard drive doesn't boot when I start up my computer, but the backup one does. That backup hard drive is really slowing down my start up times. How can I make it so that hard drive doesn't start up when I boot up?

in your bios you should be able to change the order of, and/or remove, drives it looks for the OS on

I tried disabling it, but it didn't work. Then I unplugged the drive and windows wouldn't load. My computer seems to think this hard drive is the OS drive, when it clearly is not :wtf: I dunno what to do :mindblown:

Edit: I fixed that problem. Went into windows safely removed that harddrive and then unplugged it. I reset the computer and I'm back at a 34 sec boot (as opposed to the 60+ second from before [:whoa: i know I know, it's only 26 second difference, but still]). I have no idea what is happening

unplug your external and only hood it up when you need to use it.

Yes it will work. Don't have a Micro Center near by? You should be able to snatch that processor for under $200 nowadays.

if nothing else, I like GeForce Experience for the suggestions. I was having issues with Batman Arkham City, and it suggested using dx9. I thought that was weird, but sure enough the problems went away (after reading up more on it, I guess dx11 is kinda broken in that game)

it doesn't support many games though

What issues have you had with AC? I myself haven't had any yet with DX11 though I'm only like 4 hours in. Every time I try to get into it I feel overwhelmed with how open it is and shut it down.

breh...AC takes dedication.

the dedication pays off.
get the virtual tests out of the way before you do anything so you can glide around the city for the whole game.

i fukked up and did not complete the virtual training until i was 75% through the game and i wanted to kill myself when i realized how dope the grapple boost was.

the game is crack rocks.

For future reference, you see where it says "CPU Socket" and on the right side it says 1155, that means any intel 1155 processor will work in there, which most i5 and i7s are 1155 socket currently. So the sky is the limit processor wise.

This also depends on if your motherboard / bios can go to ivy bridge then get this.. Most are compatible with ivy bridge but im reading that some are not, never even passed my mind honestly looking at your screenshot :russ: so just make sure it can run it.

Make sure you dont over use it on the thermal glue, changing processors is not the hardest thing in the world to do but at the same time you have to make sure the heat sink is on really good other wise your computer will over heat (doesnt mean it will break everything) but your computer will shut off constantly and you run the danger of ruining other shyt

I felt the same way with AC, I just preferred how closed and linear AA was.

Open world games are overrated (except for games made by Bethesda)
