What card are you using and how much AA? I can imagine DX11 together with all the Physx going on in this bytch is pretty demanding. My system laughs at it though, :manny:

gtx 660

dx11 ran crappy even without physx. like I said, I was surprised when Geforce Experience recommended dx9. that link was just one example, but when I read up on it, the consensus seems to be that dx11 is just broken in that game. it's probably hella unoptimized, but you have enough overhead to deal with it

game still looks great in dx9 :manny:

I'm just pulling your chain breh, pause, no need to throw the cape on :whoa:

Skyrim :blessed:

The 1st one? :steviej:

nope, second one. I'll be damned if I can tell though. slightly softer shadows maybe

Skyrim would have been glorious with dx11 though. I kept thinking about that when I was playing Tomb Raider. caves and rocks look especially good with dx11

DX11 is barely implemented in that game..it's just tacked on....it wasn't optimized properly so I ran like shyt on most systems...known issue...kinda the same way it was in Metro 2033 but worse...

Did you not see my post stating I was pulling his chain, :snoop:

What's with the DX9 warriors tonight, :scusthov:

for non gaming and work related multitasking purposes, is an upgrade from 2x 23 inch monitors to 1x 27 inch dell ultrasharp 1440p monitor worth it?

I guess it depends on what kind of work you are doing. I personally prefer multi monitors. I feel more comfortable being able to maximize and dedicate one monitor to one thing and something to another. For any kind of media editing type work I'd def go for an IPS 27".

Use EVGA Precision X.

What settings did you use for your 690. I used some shyt I saw online and my shyt crashed on 3dmark

Edit: I'm starting to figure this shyt out. But, I guess it just takes a lot of trial and error. I increased by 3d mark score by 700 points, I'm gonna keep trying harder

Keep the card under 70C.

Increase the power target to the max.

Increase the GPU Clock Offset by intervals of 15 to 30. Run a Benchmark. If it doesn't crash, increase again by 15 to 30. Do this till you crash. Once you do drop it by 15 and try again.

Keep the memory clock offset at default till you find your max stable gpu clock offset. Once you find the max gpu clock offset you can start increasing the memory in intervals of 50 to 100. The 690 I had could do 700+ on the memory offset.
