Edit: Overclocking is fun as shyt. I can't believe how much more I can get outta this card. :damn: I was always scared of that shyt before, but I see why everybody does it now

Edit 2: Found the perfect settings :ahh:

Edit 3: I dunno about the overclocking shyt anymore. I just can't keep the temps down. I can get great 3dmark scores, but EVGA Precision X crashes a lot of my games (not due to heat). I then put the same settings into Afterburner, with the same performance, but I can't keep the temps below 90c, no matter what. Do I need some sort of water block cooler or shyt? Damn

go to Start
type msconfig
go to the Boot tab

you should have a list of harddrives that are recognized as boot devices.
maybe you can do something there.

if you have multiple programs open that you are jumping back and forth from then i would keep the dual monitors. i use dual monitor setup at work and it is a real time saver.

I did that, but it just shows my C:\ Drive as the boot drive, nothing else. I still dunno why my computer thinks that external should be booted at startup, when it is not listed anywhere that it should do that :wtf:

there is only one other solution that i can think of, but it's rather extreme.
when i was i college i ran into a similar problem with my first pc and it led to me rewiring my neighbor's apartment while he was in class (he left his door open).

i had damaged some components in my pc while tinkering with it and my C drive was no longer being recognized as the boot device.
for some reason my pc was booting from my printers driver information.

anyway i stripped some copper wire from behind a wall socket in my neighbors apt and hooked it up to fix the physical damage in my pc.

but then i ran into the booting from printer problem...

my boy told me to go to the supermarket and pick up a 5 pound bag of rice and cover my whole pc with it over night in my bathtub...and i'll be damned if that didn't solve the problem.

Yeah, that might be a bit too extreme for me. I guess I'll just deal with the 30 second delay or just unplug it before startup. I guess it's not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but it still sucks that my WD is acting like this, when the other WD works just fine at startup :aicmon:
