What is the benefit of overclocking your CPU?
I did that shyt. Better benchmarking

not much, unless your cpu sucks to begin with, and you're playing cpu intensive games (bf3, planetside 2, gta4, civ5, or any game where's there's a lot going on... or crappy ports that don't scale well over multicores)
Ok. I am thinking about overclocking my CPU just to see if I notice a difference in my games for the hell of it.
you should only notice it if before you were getting poor performance because your cpu was the bottleneck. or if you're staring at a fps counter
and you really should be testing every step of your overclock with a program like prime95, and monitoring your temps

otherwise everything might seem fine, while you're running your not too cpu-intensive stuff, but if someday you do run something that is very cpu intensive... bad things could happen (most likely just a shutdown). that prime95 program basically pushes your shyt to it's limits, so you can see right away what it can handle
all in all, it might not be something you want to get into, unless you really feel like you need it
oh ok. Thanks for the info. What GP do you have
Sorry gpu
