Good build overall. Can you get the motherboard at Micro Center as well? They'll hit you with a discount for buying the mobo+cpu together. Also, any reason specific reason why you're going with Nvidia at that price range? Gsync, Shadowplay, Physx, dual cards in future, etc? If none of these interest you I'd go with a aftermarket 280x and save some cash. In addition 4GB over a 256 bit bus has proven to show no benefit so if you want the 770 I'd get a 2GB variant. It's also due a price drop.
No clue what that means man. I barely know the basics, and
I'm confident in my ability to build it, but I've just been compiling knowledge and trying to get the best for my price range. I'm welcome to cost cutting measures, I just don't want to sacrifice something when I can spend a little more and have it last longer.
I want to be able to run the games out now flawlessly on high settings as well as shyt coming out in the near future like Watch Dogs and The Witcher 3. Don't think that's asking for too much. If I can cut costs a little and make minor sacrifices, I'm open to it and I'd greatly appreciate the help. Before I purchase ANYTHING online I'm gonna take the list in and see if they'd match at microcenter or work something out with me.
Another thing. Another guy I know said I'll be sorry for not going with an i7 processor now. I mean, I've done research and I've heard that for gaming purposes the i5 is really all you need right now. I only plan on doing some gaming and homework on this computer. So...yeah.
Thoughts? Substitution advice? I'm all ears
