$265 for that Dell might be a little too much though.
So you're telling me if I put a 24" in rice it won't grow?
ok guys I need a little help ocing
I have a i7 4790k. How should I start ocing? Never really oced before
also, anyone know which features I can disable in the bios for faster performance? like power saving features. thanks

a lot of bios have built OC's... for instance my BIOS automatically OC's my processor from 3.5 to 3.9 ghz
just like you though I dont know how to manually OC even though everyone tells me its easy
but ive been hard pressed to actually go from 3.9 to 4.5![]()
i've never OC'd my rig...my bios has a setting for this but i'm afraid to use it.

So after my overclock, it's taking about 10-20 seconds longer to boot up my computer (it stays on the windows 8 startup screen for a bit longer than normal, goes to a black screen for a second, and them takes longer to get into windows after logging in). It's nothing crazy, but it's a little weird. I was stable with prime 95 and have no problems with crashes in games or anything like that.
The internet seems to say that a longer boot up might be a problem, but others are saying it's normal after an overclock. Is the longer boot time something I should be concerned with? Or is this just something you deal with when overclocking?
Edit: I have an asus sabertooth x79 mobo and I'm at 4.5ghz at 1.25v with a 4820k

Breh I swear you're trying to build a nuclear warhead.![]()
