I took that scene as her realizing he was doing the knot wrong and was showing him how to do it ... but then he either pulled it to tight or because he was in a hurry fukked it up ...

It never occured to me that she directed the knot tie and caused her own death ...

Yea, he was about to do the correct knot as Cutter instructed and she nodded not to and he turned his head to make sure Cutter wasn't looking and changed the knot. So, in essence had she not requested to do the wrong knot, she would of been alive.

Watched it for the first time last night just off the strength of this thread (didn't go passed a couple of posts as not to spoil it for myself)...great movie...pissed I slept on it for so long...and yeah the whole "machine didn't actually work" thing is a novel theory...but several others have already explained why it just doesn't hold up

Yeah, that discusion... the working non working machine ... oh, and any other hair brain ideas out there ... I mean we all know there're only 4 solutions ..
  1. it didnt work
  2. it worked - teleported duplicate left origanal
  3. it worked - teleported original left duplicated
  4. it worked with 2 & 3 happening arbitrarily
It's just some of the reasoning be :russ:myself included if you wish to think that way

i didnt even read this thread. i left at like page 1 or something and when i came back there was too much to read. but yeah the machine didnt work. you should have realised that by the speech at the end of the film :snoop:

it's crazy this has to actually be explained. She wanted the langford double & they made a silent agreement. straight forward shiit

Maybe you should not only read the thread but watch the movie AGAIN. Or at least watch the clip at the very beginning where Cutter, who had NOTHING to gain from this aside from purchasing the machine himself telling the Broker that it was REAL. I JUST DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW PEOPLE IGNORE THAT PART OF THE FILM.
