But your economic solution is on point. We also have to address the glorification of hood mentality and behavior by both men and women.

Marriage in other communities is a result of the structure not the cause.

Folks don’t want to acknowledge that the same way there are “nice guys” who don’t get play, there are “nice girls” sitting right alongside them who don’t get play either.

We also got a bunch of single women with no kids sitting in the church that everyone loves to mock. They all weren’t party girls. Just regular, nice girls who faded to the background. But it’s their fault for not being as pretty/appealing as the other girls.
The normal guys and the “athletes, scammers, etc” are all looking at the same girls????! Why?
What about the invisible, “nice, plain Jane” girls who are their equivalent, who are going to school and work everyday? NOT chasing scammers?

Those girls know how to position themselves because their FAMILIES teach them.
My family has said some similar shyt to me, and if I shared it all that would have men on this very site calling my fam elitist, etc.
Those girls are taught to move differently just like the guys in their community are taught to pursue certain fields and are taught to pursue certain young women. I said it before- the average white and Asian dudes aren’t trying to play the field and have fun into their 30s. Those dudes are buying rings and proposing by the time THEY are 30.
Both our men and women are off.
The issue is when WE make mistakes they are more dire. Girls of other races are taught that hard truth, which is why they are so serious about locking down men on the path to success. Most Black girls aren’t taught to chase the bag properly.
Yes our girls have to choose better, but many aren’t coming from families that teach them what that means. It’s a terrible loop, but it seems like more girls are learning now.
I still maintain that entertainment has too much of a grip on our youth.
