I don't mind doing it and have helped before. However, one person can't do it alone.

Youre missing the point ... its not about one person doing it alone...

If everyone plays their part then there will be a difference...

problem is a lot of people just talk the talk and wait for someone else

let me ask you this... the people that are surpassing you ..... who are their leaders?

Exactly ....

I believe in collective fukking responsibility not waiting for some kind of messiah to fix things.... a lot of fukkers want to use that as an excuse not to do anything...

First thing I ask people when they talk that ish... what are YOU doing for the black community ...... nine times out of ten they aint doing shyt
It's easy for you and I to say that. How about people in the inner city with no resources? Let's be honest, you think people without direction can lead themselves? That's like having a car and no instruction manual.

First point, I guess Hispanic leaders they came as one and now look. They are passing us by.

What part? Without direction there is no part. It's just unorganized chaos. Listen, I used to feed the homeless and etc. Point is, we need a united front. You won't get things done without a plan.

Are you willing to give your life?

Help isnt enough.

Have to lead by example.

Been there done that...Im becoming a cynic and desensitized to this shyt.

Police can terrorize us, and where suppose to just sit and take it like the good old docile people they expect us to be..

Kids are growing up in a society where police shootings/modern day lynchings of blacks are a normal occurrence.

This shyt hurts...

What are you talking about sir? White people don't have leaders? They are called politicians. Any group of people that has their own country, has their own leaders.

My friend there are literally tons of people doing unpaid community work, mentoring youths , so i disagree

secondly If Malcolm X was around today he would be torn to shreds in a second on social media by the very black people he would be fighting for....

Garvey would be accused of hustling people out of money

King would be finished for fukking white women....

That time is DONE ..... Its time for EVERYONE to step up to the plate and do their part

Stop acting like they dont kill our leaders, potential leaders or "doers". :martin:

Leaders get killed, and get streets named after them...don't need one
:mjlol: Does OP really believe that if another "leader" emerges that "they" wont just murk said leader out the same way they did with all the past leaders?

Furthermore, Farrakahn says a lot of real shyt as far as how we should collectively conduct ourselves economically and politically but nobody listens to him :francis:

But sir, if you have politicians that represent your interests, you don't need community leaders.

We have community leaders because we don't have politicians that represent our interests.

Its like people just have no sense of whats going on around them

a black athlete takes a knee during the national anthem and he cant even get a majority of his colleagues to support him..

but somehow some people seem to think that a black leader who will have to be 1000 times more militant would be able to galvanise the black community

Aint gonna happen .... and thats the truth ..... too many African Americans are invested in "white society" right now for that to happen

The good thing is, politicians can be bought

No question.

Being "black" isn't a strong enough rally cry. No other people on the face of this earth identifies themselves solely as a damn color. They are either this nationality, or this tribe or this religion. And that unites them.

When you ask an African American what are they, they say "I'm black". No, that's not powerful enough.

We need a new classification.
Disagree somewhat. Race is our strongest assembler. We're fightin' racism.

But we do need more to unify around. Knowledge/history, what racism really is and what it's doin', and how to conquer it.

Basically, folks need to know Black is more than a skin color.
Youre missing the point ... its not about one person doing it alone...

If everyone plays their part then there will be a difference...

People's parts to be played are affected by a racist system. The system is designed to let only a few through, only to disguise the existence of racism, or serve the system in some way. If those that get through, if those with knowledge and charisma don't share and inform and plan, the parts most folks play will never be more than they are.

Okay, I agree with you there with stepping up to the plate. However, we still have people that aren't doing anything. I've donated and etc my money to these causes. We all have to chip in and do work. I've also used to clean litter off the streets when I was in ROTC on the weekends. I will admit we all have to take responsibility.
