That's what they want. Engineering electrical/ mechanical is going to be the go to fields. Unfortunately our public schools especially in Black areas aren't equipped to produce the numbers we need. China is kicking everyone's ass currently because they don't teach to pass tests. Black children have to fall in love with math at an early age to get us there and the parents have to lead the charge.
