The Rams have proven “Going ALL IN” works

Is this team building the best way to get rings?

It's not like the NBA where if you give away a bunch of picks (or select busts) there's not many options to turn to. In the NFL a good GM still has rounds 3-7 and UDFAs to fill out their roster and find gems.

Even as of now the Rams have their 2nd through 7th in the 2023 draft (2022 season) and all their 2024 picks (2023 season). In a doomsday scenario where McVay bails and Stafford, Donald and Ramsey fall off a cliff by the time 2023 starts they have all their picks for that rebuild to start. The notion that they "mortgaged their future" because they gave away 1st round picks in the late 20s just isn't reality.

The 49ers did this throughout the 90s. They were done as a franchise after Steve Young got concussed for the last time. They were finished for almost a decade.

They have chips to show for it though.

You look at teams like us who have been trying to build organically our entire franchise existence and we have nothing to show for it whatsoever
