How old are you? Pac had that power before he died.I think Pac was influential no doubt, but posthumously he's been put on the pedestal of a revolutionary figure when he was just a 25 year old trying to find his way. His music reflected that, imo.
You can't equate high quality to a nikka whom sounds horrible on the mic and has trouble making music that jamswhile Kendirck wasn't the first rapper to dive into this kind of content, i must admit it's been a while since an album combined this sort of content with an incredibly consistent sound that was also HIGH QUALITY.
that's why this is album of the year. How many albums have been in hip hop with excellent production AND pro-black content throughout? Public Enemy's first couple of joints, Train of Thought, R.A.P Music, Black Star, Black on Both Sides. Those are the only ones i can think of.
He was the underdog then. Now that the fans have built them up it's time to test him down.Where was all this Kendrick slander when section 80 and GKMC were poppin?![]()
your opinion thoughYou can't equate high quality to a nikka whom sounds horrible on the mic and has trouble making music that jams
calling it "high quality" is an opinion.your opinion though
and so far the ones saying TPAB is not jamming are CACs, at least irl
Who pays you better, interscope or top dawg? That's fair. Kendrick's an observer. His subject matter is more about the world around him than himself. That's why you'll struggle to find personal songs in his catalog.
But there's nothing wrong with that, and it doesn't make him untrue to himself. He's just a good guy in a crazy world, plenty of people relate to that.
How old are you? Pac had that power before he died.
Also i'm addressing your statement that "He was not a revolutionary and I don't really think he wanted to be one. For every "Brenda's Got a Baby" there are 2 "How Do U Want It". 2Pac"
Fact is that 2pac has interviews from 1996 talking about his intentions which show you're wrong about what he wanted to be.
Also the ONLY 2pac record with a decent amount of party records is AEOM.
And even that only possesses 10 out of 27 party records.
So basically, shut yo dumb ass up
Lol @ "Generic Hood Stuff".That's all generic "hood" stuff though breh.
Same tropes we've seen in every hood story since forever. Its not really personal. shyt might not even be true.
You ruined nothing. I never disputed what he did in the casino or whom he was running with so that talking point is POINTless. He was also running around trying to be a blood, jumping people in casinos and trying to hang with hardcore criminals in 1996. Sorry to ruin your dreams, 2Pac was not a revolutionary. He was a guy who said some poignant things from time to time, like anybody else with a brain. He was more concerned about getting his (well deserved) money when he died, not freedom fighting.
Take that cape off and let that man rest, buddy.
You ruined nothing. I never disputed what he did in the casino or whom he was running with so that talking point is POINTless.
You said pac didnt want to be a revolutionary,i said there's interviews with him discussing his plans. (which is a fact)
You said (word for word) "For every "Brenda's Got a Baby" there are 2 "How Do U Want It". 2Pac"
I showed how that was a blatant lie. And if you want to be shown further,I WILL DO SO
@SirBiatch ,you dapping. What about his post are you cosigning?
He didnt dispel any of my points all he did was duck what i addressed and try to create a faux debate over something I wasnt even debating (whom he was running with and that casino drama)
I called him a dumb ass for blatantly lying. Saying 2pac had 2 how do you want it's for every brenda's gotta baby" is a blatant lie. Meaning he's ill informed or just trying to defame 2pac with something he knows is a lie. Both make him worthy of being called a dumb ass.All of it. Pac was probably bipolar. He was contradictory to say the least.
and you were the first to call Squirrel a "Dumb ass" (unprovoked) which makes me think you're too close to the issue to see it critically.
